Increased Consumers’ Protection
On March 11, 2022, the Law on Amendments to the Consumer Protection Act (“CPA”) was promulgated in the State Gazette. The amendments provide for better implementation and modernization of consumer protection rules in the Union. In order to achieve this goal, the legislator expands the scope of possible infringements that traders could commit in connection with consumer protection and increases the size of the sanctions provided for in this regard.
With this issue, we present a summary of the changes that will occur in connection with the modernization of consumer protection rules, as well as their possible impact on those who will be affected by them.
