Council Directive 2016/1164 was partially implemented in the Bulgarian legislation in force as of 1 January 2019.  The implemented European measures against tax avoidance impose additional obligations on the Bulgarian business, especially when it operates on a European Union scale. The last set of measures is expected to be implemented in the Bulgarian legislation in 2019, effective as of 2020.
